those days we were
ready to be fired,
like blind panthers
chasing their own tales
no one told us actual life
was more fantastic
than any utopia
we did not know
postponed lives were
not to be redeemed either
masses are cruel in nature,
those days they felt safe to us
we were so busy judging everything
and forgot to smile back to flowers
we were so busy saving the planet and
the humanity,
forgot to greet the postman and
water the canary

Fabulous!
love it! There's a crystal clearness and new attention to your internal rhymes in your poems lately, it looks like Turkey is a good place to bring out the inner artist :)
'internal rhymes', hmmm, nice! never thought of it this way.
I dont know if it is the lands or the people that inclines our souls more. I feel like a nomad sometimes, is it a good thing? :)
I will put this on my list to discuss face to face:)
stay happy! (even when you are sad)
I love your poem... I love the style and the words. I am a bit at unease with how you termed people to be 'cruel' as in my humble opinion cruel is not only a raw word but it also brings a bit of negatvity.
My favourite lines from the poem are:
1.
"no one told us actual life
was more fantastic
than any utopia"
2. the lines about being judging each other
there is a sufi saint from south asia (india/Pakistan), he says something like this:
"you people read in schools so much
yet you people have never bothered to look within and read your own self"
Somehow your poem reminded me of that poem Bulleya of this poet (also named Bulley Shah).
Thankyou :)
Shukriya, Irfan.
I think that 'people' and 'masses' are not identical.. People tend to change, generally in a negative way, when they become a part of a mass, and things get messy:) that is probably because of the lightness of sharing responsibility...even children act worse when together then alone:)
I hope someone proves me wrong about that..
thank you again.
huda khafez!
