Phoenix*

I have been thinking about this mythological bird and realized that we human beings have so much in common with Phoenix. We die in flames and reborn from our ashes constantly in daily life. By the way I Somehow find similarity between the legend of Sisyphus and Phoenix’s. Pushing the rock hard and then running after it to be able to push again…Burning out along with what life pours on us to be able to sprout again… This repetitive circle seems like a curse but actually how you read it all depends on your point of view of life. Burning is good as long as my nest turns into a cradle for new me every time I die.
*In Persian Mythology it is Simurgh.

Talk is Cheap

I feel like vomiting when I enter any supermarket or mall these days. The red chokes me! (not because I don’t have a “valentine’’)

I wonder how many people there are who would get those stupid-heart-shaped-red pillows with a big font “I LOVE YOU” written on it. For sure it will be a real celebration day for pillow, chocolate and rose dealers compared to many couples who will get disappointed upon receiving gifts far from meeting their expectations.

Actually it would be fun if couples forbidded themselves from saying “ I Love You” to their partners especially on 14-Feb. As a friend of mine always says: Talk is cheap. “I love you” is one of the most fade-out, worn-out phrases these days.

The red chokes me!

Raoul Vaneigem Quotes

* "In an industrial society which confuses work and productivity, the necessity of producing has always been an enemy of the desire to create."

* "In the kingdom of consumption the citizen is king. A democratic monarchy: equality before consumption, fraternity in consumption, and freedom through consumption."

* "Never before has a civilization reached such a degree of a contempt for life; never before has a generation, drowned in mortification, felt such a rage to live."

* "To be rich nowadays merely means to possess a large number of poor objects."

* "Work to survive, survive by consuming, survive to consume: the hellish cycle is complete."

* "...people who are murdered slowly in the mechanized slaughterhouses of work ..."

* "Down with a world in which the guarantee that we will not die of starvation has been purchased with the guarantee that we will die of boredom."

Order - Disorder

- You are a mature person who is aware of her responsibilities, you should do this and that while you should not do this and that!

- What if I f’n don’t want?!

- You either accept or leave!

- I hate two-option cases, I hate “either-or” s and “neither-nor”s as well…

- Why do you enjoy complicating your life this much?

- Why do you enjoy trying to simplify our lives with dictation this much?

- You are bounding yourself to the path of losers!

- I am gonna make paper planes with my silent disobedience and launch them into the eyes of the system!

- Come on! These are like catchwords of an 18-year-old defiant. Passive aggression only wears you out.

- You, born-to-be-a-manager people tend to call “unidentified” reactions as personality disorder, don’t you?

- Yes, maybe this way it is easier to avoid people like you undermining the order.

- Yeah, I forgot that you had assigned yourself as hellhounds for the world called “business”. Then I better leave!..

- Then you better leave.
