How come those two monsters
one black one green
sneaked into my dream seeping
from my library* cloisters
the subconscious
They must have come toe walking
to steal some from my peace
the precious
Why did I force the smaller
one's jaws wide open
with fingers
the delicious
I must have stopped those teeth
the insidious
Why did I feel guilty then
can't really remember

That is a very cool idea, library, source of dreams and a wonderfully made poem around it too which sings.
Haha, thanks to the scary monsters:)
Glad you like it.
Yumma, waaai :)
Seriously, vcool poem. It's as if you have two separate voices going on, almost a dialogue, which I read as representing the subconscious and conscious (hmmm...one black, one green?)
I love dreams, and dreaming. There's a lot to be said about what we repress and express, what the language of the subconscious is and what the waking words are. I also think there's a terribly spiritual element- to some dreams, not all, the fun is in deciphering them. So yeah, don't let those monsters steal your peace of mind!
Thanks habibty Emandy:)
"waking words", I like that!
If you are a dreamer (both night and day) like me, I would like to recommend you a movie called "Waking Life" by Richard Linklater. Methinks you would love it:)
(Btw I am leaving Kuwait inshallah on the 12th for good, I am gonna miss this country very much in spite of its bitter side)Hopefully we will meet somewhere else, in Turkey or the States maybe, one day..
Greate prose, I liked it a lot. I want to recomend you a book to read, that is about short poems or descriptions of mythological beings, I think you would love it, it is called "The book of the imaginary being", or "el libro de los seres imaginarios" from Borges, my favourite one is "the ink monkey"
Thank you Mariana! A friend of mine recommended me Borges's books, too, so I better start reading:)
That sounds like a plan, Sherry, that sounds like a plan.
PS I saw waking dream a few years ago, and I loved it :)
