Two men and a dog whirling a clew

"I cant believe you finally did this! Knitting wool socks for the old widowers of the town?! And these are grey as their hair, how can you be so funny without even smiling?" the guest chuckled for minutes watching a man knitting stuff first time in his life.

"Well, those fellows' hands are too stiff to knit and I need to do something to feed myself and the dog, and you sometimes. I sew rips on their clothes, too." explained the old man.

"All of you are going nuts, I swear! Hopefully I will not end up like you (sigh). Have you ever thought of asking those fellows why they dont buy socks from any store if they have money?" the guest asked pointing his index finger toward his brain.

"Why should I ask, to lose my small business?" this time the old man pointed his index finger toward his brain. "I know what they would say though, these keep their feet far warmer than the ones knitted by machines do" he put his reading glasses on and continued knitting. "I know well what way people like you think: get fast, consume fast and forget fast..." he looked at his guest Mr. sapient over the glasses.

"All right! Lets have dinner when you finish this pair at least" the guest cut the argument short. (Trying to get the grey wool clew back from the dog) "How come you decided to move your lazy ass today, play with something else, there is money and food for all of us at the end of this thread" he snapped over the dog who gave him a sad look in return and went to curl up by the old man's feet.

"You go check the gramophone, it must be tired of you nagging all the time, the music stopped again. And I am coming in a bit to set the table" the old man raised his head to watch the sunset for a few seconds before finishing the left foot sock...

What an odd they couple they are, always something mysterious moving just below the surface. I like these little smiley stories of yours a lot, Sherifa.
